Boere Tamatie

Many of you might have heard of the Magnificent Tomato—a name that has been making the rounds lately. But let me set the record straight: this isn’t its real name!

This incredible tomato was brought to South Africa 48 years ago by the mother of Jorrie Hans Louw, and he has lovingly preserved it ever since. Jori refers to it as the Boere Tamatie, and that is how it will appear on my catalogue when it becomes available.

The Boere Tamatie carries not just incredible flavor but also a legacy—one rooted in family, tradition, and care. I can’t wait to share this piece of history with all of you once the seeds are ready. Stay tuned for updates!
