Pepino Melon Cuttings

Pepino Melon – honestly one of the most underrated plants in my garden.
I’ve got a few established plants and it’s been such champions! If you don’t get heavy frost, this thing will fruit for you almost all year round. I’ve been picking fruit right through winter — in July nogals — and it just keeps going.
The taste? Imagine a cantaloupe and a cucumber had a polite little baby. The flesh is soft, juicy, and lightly sweet, with a hint of melon and a cool freshness to it. Perfect for eating straight off the bush!
They’re not clingy plants either — give them a sunny spot, a bit of water, and they’ll reward you with fruit and more fruit. And bonus? The flowers are actually quite pretty, and the fruit has those lovely streaks that make them look painted.
If you’re after something different, productive, and easy to grow — especially for those of us who like a snack while we garden — the pepino melon deserves a spot in your soil.
